Have you ever air conditioned your carport--ALL DAY?

I did--today as a matter of fact. This morning, Emy was the last one to exit the house and yep, you guessed it--she didn't close the door all that well.

Emy, Luke & Daddy came home to find our big ole chocolate lab, "Sammy" inside the house, cooling it!! The door was WIDE open and the a/c was of course going strong!!


He is normally an outside dog who cools it on the carport with the fan on him every day...believe me, he is NOT suffering in the outside world...he gets some table scraps too--oops-some may think that's bad practice--oh well---he is a good ole dog, though...we LOVE Sammy. Of course, Emy & Luke could ride him if he would hold still long enough-LOL.

Luke still doesn't embrace dogs, so, I guess that will come in time. My mom and dad's dog, Charlie, is lovable too and Luke likes him a little better than Sammy (Charlie is smaller).


You ask me "how could I forget to close the door?"--Well, have you ever got up at 6:50am, showered, got two children dressed, brush their teeth, brush your own, dress yourself, pack their bag for daycare, take them to daycare and make it to work by 8:15 ?


And you guessed it--I AM SUPER-WOMAN--without the cape--because if you ever watched the Incredibles you know that a cape is BAD news! Those superheroes never seemed to come out ALIVE in the end--HA!

THE ATTACK BIRD

Looks harmless, right? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!


Yep, you heard me right!! We have had this attack bird at work--SHE has a nest of babies and is REALLY mad at us when we walk by HER bush...I got attacked three times two days ago. I have been avoiding her bush...we had animal control come out and move the nest--well, she abandoned that nest and we think she has built another nest on the OTHER side of our building--yahoo--can you hear my enthusiasm for this nest building bird?

It is a mockingbird which really seems like a harmless creature--UNTIL you hear her and see her swooping down to take a bite out of your arm or neck or back!! Y'all--this bird has GOT to GO! I whacked it with my pocketbook when she attacked me and I almost hurt my back because of all the ducking and jumping I was doing!! It's funny now but at the time I was one more panicked person!!

I just wonder how many patients watched my torment and were dying of laughter in their cars that morning??!!

If I can, I will get a picture of this lovely little friendly ATTACKER and show you how looks can be deceiving....later.
